THE BOREAL FOREST is a Canadian jewel, a national and international treasure stretching from the rocky Atlantic coastline of Newfoundland to the wild mountain valleys of northern British Columbia and Yukon. Canada's boreal forest is one of the largest frontier forest areas left on the planet, a place where human activities have not yet fundamentally changed the nature of ecosystems.
CPAWS envisages a healthy ecosphere where people experience and respect natural ecosystem.
