THE COUNTRY OF MIRACLES

i was reading "The Gulag Archipelago" by Solzhenitsyn and he used the phrase 'country of miracles' rather sarcastically to describe Mother Russia under Stalinist rule.i jotted it down thinking it would be a great Dinner Is Ruined album title.a couple of weeks later i was sittin' eating chicken w/ Gord while recording "If i had a hammer" and he asked,'what are we gonna do about a band name?'i told him "The Country of Miracles" has a nice sound to it...
